carrot Why self-defense? continued

The good news is that you’re more likely to discourage potential attackers when you respond in a way that shows you won’t be an easy target.

Self-defense helps everyone feel more capable in daily life. Knowing you’re able to respond to assault or abuse can give you the confidence to meet other challenges as well.

Self-defense training teaches you how to be assertive, not passive or aggressive. (Either one of those can escalate a situation, while being assertive may end it without physical confrontation.)

Though you might never have to use the physical techniques, you’ll use the self-defense confidence, skills, and attitude every day.
